Engineered Floors was founded by Bob Shaw in 2009—the same Bob Shaw that founded the Shaw above. After Shaw Industries Group, Inc. was bought out by Warren Buffet, Mr. Shaw eventually was made to involuntarily retire, and so at age 77, Engineered Floors was founded.

They are one of the fastest growing flooring manufactures in the world with a broad range of innovative flooring solutions with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. Record-setting sized plants are being completed in northern Georgia almost regularly.

Engineered Floors produces great flooring for a broad range of applications.

Headquartered in Calhoun, Georgia, Mohawk is the largest flooring manufacturer in the world. In addition to their American mills, they operate globally and sell flooring in over 170 countries.

Their roots date back to 1878 in Amsterdam, New York. They changed their name to Mohawk Flooring in the 1920’s. It was in the 1950’s, with heavy competition from carpet manufactures in Georgia, that they began to open and relocate flooring mills to Georgia and South Carolina.

Today, they design and manufacture every type of flooring product. Like Shaw, they are fully vertically integrated. From materials, to manufacturing, to logistics. Unlike Shaw, they are a publicly traded company.

Mohawk Floors manufactures flooring for any need that will work great.
